Far d’Emporda

El Far d’Emporda is perched on a hill overlooking fertile fields and olives.  The castell de Far d’Emporda is largely destroyed, but l’Esglesia de Sant Marti rests atop the fortified hill, surrounded by the remaining ancient walls.  The town still retains its bucolic charm, with farms, ancient buildings in the nucli antic and lovely views across the plain.  The house on Carrer del Centre has a lintel dated from 1520.

The usual suspects are celebrated in Far and Fortia  (nadal, reis mags d’Orients, etc).  Vila-sacra likes to mix it up a bit more.
